The Official Pembroke Boats Website
Established in the late 1940's by Gerald
Elwell Pembroke Boats Inc. built approximately fifteen
hundred high quality wooden boats in central New Hampshire before ending it's
production run
and going out of business in 1969. The
company had its roots in the town of Pembroke NH and
many local skilled craftsmen worked at the
company throughout the years. Lake
Winnepasaukee was frequently used as a testing
ground for pembroke boats and many of the
photos from the sales flyers were taken while
family members were boating on the great lake.
These classic boats can still be readily found
around New England make great wooden boat
restoration projects. This Website is dedicated
to maintaining and preserving the history of
Pembroke Boats and to share information for the
restoration and preservation of these classic
wooden boats.
